When is the best time to cut a hedge?
Most formal hedges are trimmed between late spring and early autumn, often two or three times over the season to keep them crisp. We always check for nesting birds before cutting, as active nests are protected by law.
Can you reduce a very overgrown hedge?
Yes. Badly overgrown hedges can usually be brought back, sometimes over a couple of stages so the hedge is not stressed all at once. We will tell you honestly what is realistic for your hedge.
